The seventh annual South Africa Special Report by award-winning British wine writer and Master of Wine Tim Atkin was released this month and Le Lude is proud to have scored 95 points for our Vintage Cuvée.
According to Atkin, the wines listed in the report compare with the best of any other wine producing country, saying that the Cape had established itself as ‘one of the most exciting wine-producing countries on the planet’.
The 2 118 wines tasted were scored on the 100-point scale, with scores of 90-94 being the equivalent of Silver and 95+ equivalent of Gold. Le Lude’s results were:
Le Lude Vintage Cuvée Magnum MCC Western Cape 2013 95
Le Lude Vintage Cuvée MCC Western Cape 2013 94
Le Lude Vintage Rosé Magnum MCC Western Cape 2013 93
